School Days
5:52 PM
A rhyming book about objects and activities observed by Ms. Green's class. The book begins with students coming to school. Then, the story progresses as students are seen doing daily activities such as painting, eating lunch, and going to recess. The book concludes when the school day ends.
Opinion/Critique
I think School Days is a good starter book for kids learning to read because it includes words associated with objects and activities observed in the school setting. Thus, I think students can find familiarity in most of the words.

Classroom application
The rhyming can aid students in pronouncing certain words. This book can be applied so that students can make observational connections from the book to their actual school setting.
